celebrating panhellenic womanhood in the GTA
Once again this Spring, we gathered at Brassaii on King West, downtown Toronto, in celebration of philanthropy at TAAP and our member sororities and women’s fraternities. We showcased all that our membership does locally, and nationally.
We had the pleasure of hearing our guest speaker, Canadian business woman, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and highly regarded expert in youth culture and marketing, Lorraine Zander.
Lorraine is the editor-in-chief and founder of Faze Magazine and a serial entrepreneur. She is a champion of women supporting women in business and has dedicated her life to helping young women further their lives in an entertaining, motivating way. She is about to be a published author in addition to Faze Magazine which has circulated for over 15 years.
Lorraine completed her undergrad at U of T and earned a Bachelor of Science in Exceptionality in Human Learning. She founded Faze Magazine in 2000 as a way to empower young women, and many young women contribute to the magazine itself including choosing stories, writing, photographing, and organizing Live Events. Faze Magazine Live Events draw crowds of several hundred young women and incorporate themes of empowerment with high profile musicians such as Kreesha Turner, Francesco Yates, Keshia Chanté, Shawn Desman, and Cory Lee. If you want to read more about Lorraine, check out her website and Faze Magazine.
Proceeds from the luncheon benefit the annual scholarships offered by TAAP. This year’s recipients include both an undergraduate and alumnae scholarship winner.
Also be sure not to miss the Silent Auction! As always, it will be full of great selections donated to TAAP.
If interested in donating, more information can be found on the event Facebook page.
Thank you to everyone who came out to support our annual Scholarship Luncheon this year.
